Job summary

Marsh in Norwich seeks a Claims Handler or Senior Claims Handler to join our technical Claims team. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days per week and focuses on large, complex global insurance contracts rather than call-centre work.

You will manage claim notifications, negotiate with insurers, review policy wordings, and ensure timely, accurate settlements. Strong attention to detail, planning ability and excellent communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must have claims handling experience or related insurance professional services experience.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, handle and manage new claim notifications and updates.
• Negotiate with insurers to achieve beneficial settlements for clients.
• Review and interpret policy wordings to obtain optimal settlements.
• Meet targets in line with client SLAs and standards of accuracy and service.
• Handle and case manage claims, contributing to complex or contentious resolutions.
