Job Description:

At Amazon, our vision is to be earth’s most customer-centric company. In 2006, we launched Amazon Web Services, giving customers access to the same cloud technology we built to serve millions of shoppers on Amazon.com. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure cloud services platform, offering computing power, database storage, content delivery, and other functionalities to help businesses scale and grow. Millions of businesses are using AWS cloud solutions to build sophisticated applications with increased flexibility, scalability, and reliability.

The Role

As a trusted advisor, you’ll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You’ll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including products like EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and more. Our Technical Account Managers partner with iconic businesses, from startups to large enterprises, providing advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning, and operational issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building solutions, providing technical guidance, and advocating for the customer
  • Ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  • Developing trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Driving technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate at least)
  • Consulting with partners from developers to C-suite executives
  • Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services, and Sales Managers
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Providing detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and pre-launch planning
  • Solving problems related to workload migration to the cloud
  • Uplifting customer capabilities through workshops and sessions

As AWS continues to expand in EMEA, you'll have opportunities to develop your technical, consulting, and leadership skills, work with talented cloud technologists, and pursue AWS certifications. We invite you to be part of transforming businesses through cloud adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in design, implementation, operations, or consulting with distributed applications
  • Experience in technical engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a 24/7 operational support environment
  • Experience as a technical lead in enterprise or customer-facing settings
