Job summary

Verint is seeking a Procurement Specialist in the United Kingdom to lead technology and SaaS sourcing. You will manage a significant software/SaaS spend, drive vendor consolidation, license optimization, and renewal strategies, and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.

You will collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, Security, Services and Operations to ensure robust procurement processes and measurable commercial value across global programs.

Responsibilities

• Owns commercial and contractual negotiations with software, SaaS, cloud, hosting and technology service provider vendors, including renewals, new purchases, expansions, consolidations and terminations.
• Ensures appropriate procurement involvement in major vendor engagements, including renewals, new purchases, vendor rationalization, supplier selection, and strategic vendor management activity.
• Delivers savings and value-add through proactive negotiation of new agreements, renewals, consolidations and terminations, supported by benchmarking, market comparison, commercial analysis and cost modelling.
• Analyses and drives the development and execution of category plans for software and SaaS spend, helping identify pipeline opportunities, risks, renewals, commercial levers and stakeholder decisions required.
• Reviews and leads the negotiations of key software and SaaS commercial terms including pricing structures, license metrics, renewal rights, termination rights, usage commitments, service schedules, order forms and support terms. Present commercial recommendations, sourcing strategies, risks, alternatives and negotiation outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior Technology and business leaders, providing procurement expertise and commercial insight to support significant technology investment decisions. Establishes strong global cooperation and alignment with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, Services and Operations to ensure procurement activity is commercially robust and operationally practical.
• Ensures all procurement activities follow the Global Procurement policy and procedures.
• Experience of procurement, strategic sourcing or supplier management experience, with significant experience in software, SaaS, cloud, hosting or enterprise technology sourcing.
• Demonstrated success in independently leading supplier negotiations and renewals, including preparing negotiation strategies, analysing supplier proposals, challenging pricing, managing escalations, and securing measurable commercial outcomes.
• Strong experience reviewing and interpreting software and SaaS agreements, order forms, service schedules, renewal terms, termination rights, usage commitments and license structures in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent software and SaaS projects from intake through contract execution, including stakeholder engagement, supplier management, savings tracking and governance compliance
