Job summary

Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) seeks a Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology for student and membership platforms. Hybrid London-based role with a 12-month fixed term, offering exposure to Dynamics 365, LMS integrations, and data-driven digital transformation.

The successful candidate will drive requirements, manage API and data strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally with IT, vendors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst in education, membership, or professional body settings.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Customer Engagement, Power Platform, or Finance and Operations modules.
• Experience with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, TalentLMS).
• Solid understanding of student/learner/membership lifecycle management processes.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, API management, and data migration/transformations.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality BRs, user stories, specs, and process docs.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and data accuracy mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to bridge business and tech.

Responsibilities

• Define business requirements for MS Dynamics 365 and LMS platforms.
• Analyse student and membership platforms to improve UX and efficiency.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to capture processes.
• Translate needs into functional/technical specs and user stories.
• Configure and deploy Dynamics 365 modules; integrate LMS and third parties.
• Oversee data migration, system upgrades, and platform enhancements.
• Develop and execute test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct UAT and document defects and enhancements.
• Liaise between business users, IT, and vendors; support planning and training.
