Job summary

Your Education Supply Ltd in Derby (DE12) is seeking a Team Leader / Deputy Manager for a permanent role in the care sector. The position offers leadership across direct care, shift leadership, staff supervision, and incident management, with a clear progression toward Service Manager and Registered Manager roles.

Salary is £16.00 per hour, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week, equating to about £29,952–£39,936 yearly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in complex care settings.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments, DoLS, and escalation procedures.
• Ability to lead shifts, supervise staff, and manage incidents under pressure.
• Desirable: PMVA or equivalent training; Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff during shifts and coordinate deployment to ensure safe, person-centred care.
• Oversee quality assurance, incident management, and safeguarding practices.
• Develop and implement PBS strategies and behavioural risk assessments.
• Mentor staff, conduct competency assessments, and provide training needs analysis.
• Engage with external professionals and managers to promote best practices.
