Job summary

Leidos UK is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help deliver complex programmes for UK Air Traffic Management. This hybrid role is based in Whiteley, Hampshire, and requires SC clearance.

You will work across the full lifecycle, applying MBSE, requirements development, and model-based design to produce high-quality engineering outputs. You will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and architects to define and manage requirements, craft system models, and evaluate technical solutions,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering within complex environments.
• Experience with architecture modelling tools and frameworks such as SysML, TOGAF, MODAF, ArchiMate, Cameo, or similar.
• Ability to develop requirements, system models, and design artefacts.
• Strong collaboration skills, working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience assessing technical solutions and supporting design decisions.
• Understanding of service-oriented, virtualised, or cloud-based environments.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver systems engineering activities across complex programmes.
• Define and manage system requirements with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Develop models, designs, and architecture artefacts using MBSE approaches.
• Support compliance activities, technical reviews, and project milestones.
• Produce engineering documentation, designs, and technical analyses.
• Conduct trade studies and solution evaluations.
• Contribute to the development of integrated solutions using COTS and bespoke technologies.
