Job summary

Leidos UK is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Air Traffic Management programme in a hybrid role based in Whiteley, Hampshire. You will work on safety-critical, real-time systems and contribute across the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and support.

You will be supported by experienced engineers and can expect a collaborative environment with mentoring, training and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills while maintaining UK

Qualifications

• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, HTML or JavaScript.
• Scripting languages such as Python, Bourne Shell or Perl.
• Understanding of networking protocols, esp. TCP/IP.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Investigate issues across software applications and supporting systems.
• Contribute to development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions.
• Contribute to software architecture and design activities.
• Support change, configuration and release management activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and project leadership.
• Develop software test plans and support test execution.
• Produce technical documentation and artefacts.
• Follow established engineering processes and standards.
