Lynx Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate and support advanced systems across the full lifecycle for demanding defence and maritime projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical solutions in highly regulated environments.

The role emphasizes MBSE, requirements management and strong stakeholder engagement, with hybrid working options and a competitive package. UK security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Significant experience in a complex engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of MBSE principles and methodologies.
• Experience capturing, managing and verifying requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical work packages or engineering teams.
• Experience within defence, maritime, aerospace or highly regulated industries.
• Experience with sonar systems, underwater sensing or underwater battlespace is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage and verify system requirements across the lifecycle.
• Support technical aspects of bids and proposals.
• Lead system integration, verification and qualification activities.
• Plan and execute product trials, testing and validation.
• Produce and manage technical work packages.
• Support design proving, commissioning and in-service support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and drive continuous improvement.
