Job summary

Autism Initiatives in Southport is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a care team and help individuals live as independently as possible. The role is 39 hours per week with a salary of £28,188 per year pro rata and includes rostered evenings and some weekends.

You will gain ongoing training and support to obtain your Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care (RQF) and will work under the Service Manager's guidance.

Qualifications

• Lead a team to support people to live as independently as possible.
• Provide role modelling and best practice in care delivery.
• Support professional development and qualification attainment for staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager in leading a care team and ensuring person-centered provision.
• Deputise for the Service Manager when required.
• Coordinate shifts and rosters including evenings, weekends and occasional sleep-ins.
• Maintain DBS disclosure as part of recruitment and safeguarding.
