Job summary

Autism Initiatives is seeking a Male* Senior Support Worker (Driver required) in Walton, Liverpool. The role is 39 hours per week with a salary of £28,188 per annum.

The post supports people to live independently and participate in local community activities, under the supervision of the Service Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team, model best practices, and develop professionally, including pursuing a Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence for at least 12 months and willing to drive an automatic car.
• Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care (RQF) or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (cost covered by Autism Initiatives).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team to enable people to live as independently as possible.
• Demonstrate best practice and act as a role model for the team.
• Support service development and staff training to ensure quality care.
• Cover shifts including some evenings and weekends as required.
