Job summary

Your Education Supply Ltd in Malvern is seeking a Senior Support Worker to combine hands-on care with leadership responsibilities on shifts. The role is permanent, with 36 or 48 hours weekly and a pay rate of £15.00 per hour, equating to about £28,080–£37,440 annually.

You will supervise colleagues, promote safe practices, and manage incidents while ensuring care plans and risk assessments are followed. A driving licence is preferred, and NVQ progression is supported.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within care is essential.
• Experience with complex care, behaviours that challenge and escalation.
• Experience supervising other care workers is desirable.
• Experience with 3:1/4:1/5:1 complex care packages is advantageous.
• Previous experience with physical intervention/restraint is required.
• DMI/Dynamis training is desirable.
• PMVA or similar physical intervention training may be considered.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and take on senior responsibilities during shifts.
• Support and guide other Support Workers; promote safe, consistent practice and calm leadership during escalation incidents.
• Ensure care plans, behavioral strategies and risk assessments are followed.
• Recognise behavioural changes and implement preventative and de‑escalation strategies; lead during challenging incidents.
• Support new team members through shadowing and competency development; escalate changes in risk to management when needed.
