Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker to provide high quality, person-centred care for a young individual with complex needs in a residential setting in Oldbury, West Midlands.

You will lead a small team, apply positive support and de-escalation techniques, maintain care plans, and coordinate with social workers, therapists and family. NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care and relevant experience are essential; hours are 36–48 per week.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience working in a similar role and setting is required or desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the small team on duty and manage daily routines.
• Use positive support and de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations.
• Implement the young person's care and support plans.
• Write daily logs, incident reports, and safely manage medication.
• Coordinate with social workers, therapists and family.
• Plan activities to promote learning, independence and well-being.
