Responsibilities
  • Lead on care planning, behaviour support strategies, and health & safety risk assessments for students
  • Deliver and monitor high-quality personal care and support tailored to individual needs
  • Provide staff supervision and training to ensure competency and confidence across the team
  • Act as deputy to the Team Leader, ensuring smooth operations in their absence
  • Maintain accurate records using approved systems
  • Administer medication and delegated healthcare tasks following robust protocols
  • Promote dignity, respect, and inclusion in all aspects of student support
  • Safeguard student wellbeing and report concerns in line with policy
  • Support students in educational, social, and community activities, including evenings and weekends
  • Champion effective communication across teams, families, and external professionals
  • Embed positive behaviour support strategies and promote a calm, productive environment
  • Uphold cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and care legislation
  • Encourage student independence, self‑advocacy, and personal development
