  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker is a plus.
  • Experience working with external care professionals.
  • Experience in complex and challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to people we support, ensuring personal needs, daily living and social activities are met.
  • Follow person-centred care plans, with ongoing review and updates in collaboration with management.
  • Administer and accurately record medication in line with procedures.
  • Ensure service users access the community, attend medical appointments and develop independence.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and personal care.
  • Complete daily records, incident reports and other key documentation.
  • Support individuals in managing personal finances and maintaining relationships with family and professionals.
  • Follow company safeguarding policies, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Mentor and guide support Workers, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to provide high-quality care.
  • Oversee daily documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to supervisions and performance reviews of Support Workers.
  • Organise and lead shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly allocated and completed.
  • Identify performance issues within the team and escalating where necessary.
  • Take responsibility for daily audits to ensure the service meets regulatory and company standards.
  • Ensure policy and procedures are followed at all times, acting as the first point of contact for guidance and escalation.
  • Assist with new colleague inductions, including agency staff.
  • Participate in the Senior on-call rota, providing additional leadership support when needed.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
