Job summary

Voyage Care in Longridge Court, Bulls Cross (near Stroud) is seeking a Senior Support Worker to help residents gain independence and assist the Manager with daily supervision of the service. You will coordinate shifts, training, and inductions, and support medication management and finances for the people we support.

The role requires previous Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care, with DBS checks and references.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker and Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Ability to supervise and support a care team in a residential setting.
• Commitment to enhancing quality of life for people supported.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, train new staff, and supervise staff performance.
• Assist with medication ordering and people’s finances support.

Female Senior Support Worker –

Location: Longridge Court, Bulls Cross, Near Stroud GL6 7HU

***Due to the location of this service you will require your own vehicle to get here, we also require you to have held a UK driving licence for 1 year and be over 21yrs old for insurance purposes***

Payrate - £14.27 to £15.77 per hour with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: 7am - 19:30 or 8am - 20:30

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service . This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
