Job summary

Voyage-Care is hiring a Senior Support Worker for our Bulls Cross residential service near Stroud. The role requires you to help people gain independence, support the manager, and supervise daily operations.

You must have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, previous Senior Support Worker experience, and the ability to work with individuals requiring enhanced support. A valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential for this location.

Qualifications

• Must have a UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Senior Support Worker experience is essential.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required; experience with enhanced support needs (distress behaviours, autism, trauma) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and service management.
• Allocate shifts, arrange training, induct new colleagues and provide supervision.
• Order medication and support service users in managing finances.

Female Senior Support Worker –

Location: Longridge Court, Bulls Cross, Near Stroud GL6 7HU

***Due to the location of this service you will require your own vehicle to get here, we also require you to have held a UK driving licence for 1 year and be over 21yrs old for insurance purposes***

Payrate - £14.27 to £15.77 per hour with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: 7am - 19:30 or 8am - 20:30

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service . This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
