Job summary

Affinity Supporting People South Limited in Burnley is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. You will support young adults with complex needs, helping them achieve their goals in a person-centred manner.

You will build trusting relationships, assist with daily tasks, personal care, and participate in activities to promote independence and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive, inclusive team.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker tojoin our team at Affinity Supporting People South Limited – Burnley.

We provide supported living services for individuals withlearning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health, and challengingbehaviours. Our dedicated team works closely with those we support to deliverperson-centred care, empowering each individual to reach their goals and fulfiltheir aspirations.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complexneeds. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual whocompassionately support our young adults to fulfiltheir potential. This is asometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards.

  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
