AWE plc in Reading is recruiting a Senior Supply Chain Development Manager to lead a new team focused on enterprise-wide supply chain development. You will shape governance, frameworks and supplier engagement during a major procurement phase for a replacement warhead programme.

The role reports to the Principal Supply Chain Development Manager and emphasizes sustainability, social value, supplier inclusion, and cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Programme and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in supply chain development.
• Experience designing governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Experience delivering ESG, social value and supplier inclusion initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Establish and maintain a robust supplier governance methodology and SRM framework.
• Ensure consistent supplier segmentation and performance management across AWE.
• Create and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, standards, tools and templates.
• Drive improvements in supplier relationship maturity and embed best-practice principles.
• Deliver initiatives to strengthen AWE's position as a preferred customer in key markets.
• Plan and deliver supplier engagement programmes, forums and communication activities.
• Embed ESG, supplier diversity, SME participation, and social value in procurement activities.
• Build strong relationships across Commercial, Programme and Supply Chain teams.
• Develop a high performing Supply Chain Development Team.
