Job summary

AWE provides a pivotal Senior Supply Chain Development Manager role in Reading, offering hybrid working with a 9-day fortnight and generous annual leave. You will lead the development of enterprise-wide supply chain frameworks, strengthening supplier relationships and embedding ESG targets across procurement and delivery.

The role reports to the Principal Supply Chain Development Manager and focuses on strategic governance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to deliver value

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in supply chain development.
• Experience developing SRM strategies and supplier governance.
• Experience implementing SME strategies within procurement and supply chain contexts.
• Ability to influence senior business stakeholders.
• Experience designing and embedding governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
• Experience incorporating sustainability, ESG, social value and SME participation objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust supplier governance methodology and SRM framework.
• Ensure consistent supplier segmentation and performance management across AWE.
• Create and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, standards, tools, and templates.
• Drive improvements in supplier relationship maturity and embed best-practice principles.
• Deliver Client of Choice initiatives to position AWE in key supply markets.
• Plan and deliver supplier engagement programmes, workshops and forums.
• Embed ESG, supplier diversity and social value into procurement and supply chain activities.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Commercial, Programme and Supply Chain communities.
• Develop a high performing Supply Chain Development Team.
