Job summary

AWE’s Senior Supply Chain Development Manager leads a newly formed team to enable the Commercial function with a coherent, enterprise-wide approach to supply chain development across AWE. The role supports major procurement activity for the replacement warhead programme, embedding governance and stronger supplier relationships.

Based in Reading with hybrid working, the role emphasizes ESG, supplier inclusion, and performance improvements while aligning with strategic objectives and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in supply chain development and SRM.
• Experience designing and implementing supply chain governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
• Experience developing SME strategies aligned to enterprise procurement and supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust SRM framework and supplier governance.
• Drive supplier segmentation and performance management across the business.
• Create and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, standards, tools and templates.
• Lead supplier engagement programmes, forums, and communications.
• Embed ESG, supplier diversity, SME participation and social value into supply chain development.
