Job summary

AWE plc in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Development Manager to lead a new team and drive enterprise-wide supply chain development.

You will shape SRM, governance, ESG, supplier inclusion, and work with senior stakeholders during procurement and tendering for the replacement warhead programme; hybrid role with three days on site.

The package offers 63,270–85,000 per annum with a 9-day fortnight, generous leave and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing supply chain strategy and SRM.
• Experience designing governance frameworks, policies, and operating models.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain supplier governance and SRM framework.
• Ensure consistent supplier segmentation and performance management across AWE.
• Create and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, standards, tools, and templates.
• Drive improvements in supplier relationship maturity and embed best practices.
• Deliver initiatives to position AWE as a preferred customer in key markets.
• Plan and deliver supplier engagement programs, forums, and communications.
• Embed ESG, supplier diversity, SME participation, and social value in development activities.
• Build strong internal/external relationships across Commercial, Programme, and Supply Chain.
• Develop a high performing Supply Chain Development Team.
