Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking an Operations Manager who will be a key member of the senior management team responsible for the delivery of major civil/electrical/construction projects. You will lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams, manage resources, and support project managers through delivery phases while maintaining HSE, quality and financial targets.

You will travel to Omexom sites across Scotland on a regular basis, drive continuous improvement, and represent the Business Unit in client

Qualifications

• Relevant civil/electrical/construction qualification or professional qualification or relevant professional experience.
• Strong track record in programme/project management of complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills with analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with development of operational area to support Business Unit strategy and planning.
• Managing and motivating multi-disciplined delivery teams, including direct and contract staff.
• Supporting Project Managers during delivery phases and resolving escalation matters.
• Representing the Business Unit in project escalations with clients.
• Attending quarterly SHEQ, contract and project portfolio management meetings with clients.
• Introducing best practice process improvements and ensuring efficient resource management.
• Providing training and development plans for Business Unit employees.
• Maintaining HSE, quality and financial targets and driving profitable growth.
• Travel to Omexom sites in Scotland on a regular basis.
• Building strong client relationships to secure future business.
