Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking a Technical Manager for Substations to support delivery of complex projects across the Scotland Perimeter. The role involves steering engineering activities from tender through delivery, ensuring compliance and high standards.

You will collaborate with clients, business units and partners, lead design management and mobilise new contracts, while mentoring the next generation of engineers and technicians within the Substations team.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in relevant field.
• Chartered Engineer or similar and participation in affiliated bodies (e.g., IET).
• Senior level involvement in design management for engineering design and construction in the Energy Transmission Sector.
• Experience in large project tender teams with price and quality bids adjudication.
• Understanding of commercial terms and procurement models.

Responsibilities

• Input into engineering activities at tender and delivery stages.
• Identify temporary works and advise on resources.
• Liaise with customers and provide point of reference for customers and partners.
• Support health, safety, environment and quality requirements for each contract.
• Lead and support teams to win work, including tenders and presentations to customers.
