Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking an Operations Manager – Substations reporting to the Business Unit General Manager. You will be a key member of the senior management team with responsibility for the effective management and delivery of major projects, contributing to continuous development of the role to meet demanding performance objectives.

You will lead multi-disciplined delivery teams, support Project Managers, manage resources, drive improvements, and represent the Business Unit to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects within budget.
• Experience in substation construction environment.
• Programme/Project management background.
• Strong leadership and customer focus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel to Omexom sites in Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational area to support the Business Unit strategy and planning.
• Direct and motivate multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
• Support Project Managers during delivery and resolve escalations.
• Represent Business Unit in client escalations.
• Attend quarterly SHEQ and portfolio reviews with clients.
• Drive process improvements and resource management.
• Recruit, develop and retain staff.
• Monthly reporting identifying productivity improvements.
