Job summary

AtkinsRéalis invites an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Energy Solutions team in the UK. You will lead FEED and Detailed Design for high‑voltage projects, interfacing with National Grid, SSEN and other transmission clients, while ensuring design quality and timely delivery.

You will collaborate with multi‑discipline teams across offices in the UK, supporting development, and potentially chartership, with flexible hybrid working and site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Primary Plant design.
• Preferably up to 400kV but not essential.
• Minimum 2.2 BEng in Electrical Engineering.
• Locations: Birmingham, Epsom, Glasgow, Leeds.
• Commitment to spend at least three days per week in the office or on client site.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership on the FEED and Detail Design workstream for National Grid, SSEN-Transmission or other clients.
• Ensure quality assurance and delivery of FEED, Detailed Design and bids.
• Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Attend and chair Design Review and Hazard Review meetings; visit client sites as needed.
• Support business development and client-facing activities.
