Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Energy Solutions team in the UK. You will lead P&C design and provide technical leadership across FEED and Detailed Design, interfacing with National Grid, SSEN-Transmission, and other clients.

This role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with potential site visits to client locations and offices across the UK. Based in the UK, you’ll mentor junior engineers, contribute to multi-disciplinary design

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 BEng in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or Renewable Energy.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on P&C design.
• Preferably up to 400kV but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and Detailed Design for P&C projects.
• Ensure quality assurance and governance of FEED and Detailed Design deliverables (protection schemes, CT/VT sizing, relay config).
• Review P&C aspects: protection schemes, settings and coordination, substation automation architectures, SLDs, wiring diagrams, I/O lists.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, back-office engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Experience managing tender packages and responding to technical queries.
• Attend and chair Design Review and Hazard Review meetings.
• Attend site visits for clients.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and teamwork.
