Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical engineer to lead FEED and Detailed Design for National Grid and other transmission projects. You will ensure robust protection schemes, relay configurations and project governance.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and support site visits while developing your professional accreditation. Hybrid working and UK client exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on P&C design.
• Preferably up to 400kV but not essential.
• Minimum 2.2 BEng in an Electrical Engineering discipline, Energy Systems or Renewable Energy.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership on FEED and Detailed Design workstreams for National Grid, SSEN‑Transmission, or other clients.
• Ensure quality assurance and governance of FEED and Detailed Design deliverables (protection schemes, CT/VT sizing, relay configuration, SLDs, I/O lists).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, back‑office engineers, sub‑contractors and suppliers.
