Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior electrical engineer to join our Power & Energy Solutions team in the UK. You will lead FEED and Detailed Design for National Grid, SSEN-Transmission, and other clients, focusing on substation design and HV primary plant up to 400 kV.

You will build trusted client relationships, mentor teams, chair design reviews, and ensure quality across FEED, Detailed Design, and bids. We offer flexible/remote working and development opportunities within a supportive

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Primary Plant design.
• Ability to manage tender packages and lead multi-discipline teams.
• Consultancy background with capability to interface with clients and deliver design packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership on FEED and Detailed Design workstreams.
• Ensure QA and timely delivery of FEED, Detailed Design and bids.
• Review HV plant aspects (layouts, earthing, reports) and attend design reviews.
• Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Attend site visits and chair Design/Hazard Review meetings.
