Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an experienced electrical engineer for a senior role within our Electrical Engineering team. You will lead FEED and Detailed Design workstreams for major transmission and distribution clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites.

You will contribute to quality assurance and governance of protection schemes, relay configurations, and substation interfaces while supporting career development and professional accreditation in a flexible, hybrid work

Qualifications

Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on P&C design.
Knowledge of substation design and protection systems in transmission & distribution.
Willingness to work in a consultancy environment and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on FEED and Detailed Design workstreams for National Grid, SSEN-Transmission, or other T&D clients.
Ensure quality assurance and governance of FEED and Detailed Design deliverables (protection schemes, CT/VT sizing, relay configurations, SLDs, I/O lists).
Attend site visits and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including back‑office engineers and suppliers.
Chair Design Review and Hazard Review meetings as required.
