Job summary

Amey is recruiting a permanent Structures Engineer to join our Belfast Consulting Structures Team. You will lead a multidisciplinary design effort, mentor junior staff and take ownership of projects from quotation through handover, ensuring quality, cost and programme targets are met.

The role combines office-based design work with the flexibility to work remotely, supporting a hybrid arrangement across Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate subject.
• Chartered status with ICE or IStructE is desirable.
• Experience in structures projects and knowledge of technical standards.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and deliver technically sound engineering solutions.
• Manage projects from quotation to handover.
• Produce and check designs, calculations and drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with clients and suppliers.
• Drive health and safety practices.
