Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Structures Engineer to join the Belfast Consulting Structures Team. You will lead a multi-disciplinary group, deliver robust structural solutions, and mentor junior engineers.

The role may include remote work from Northern Ireland with office collaboration to support major projects. You should bring Chartered status or working toward ICE/IStructE accreditation, a relevant degree, and solid experience in LUSAS and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design.

Qualifications

• Developed experience and expertise within Structures field.
• Ability to produce or oversee technically sound engineering solutions.
• Ownership for preparation and checking of deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and deliver technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, and drawings to quality, cost and programme.
• Mentor junior staff and manage a small local team.
• Engage with clients and suppliers at peer level and attend progress meetings.
