Job summary

Brandon James Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Birmingham team. You will lead structural design across residential and commercial developments, collaborating with architects, contractors and clients from concept to completion.

The role requires a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and chartered status (MIStructE/MICE) or progress toward chartership, with hands-on experience in steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership is expected.
• Extensive experience in steel, concrete, timber and masonry design.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
• Proficient in structural analysis software and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural designs across a range of building projects.
• Undertake analysis, calculations and detailed design for various materials.
• Design foundations and substructures for developments.
• Manage projects through design, delivery and construction stages.
• Produce and review calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Attend site visits and design meetings with clients and teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.
