Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is partnering with a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy in Birmingham to recruit a Senior/Associate/Principal Structural Engineer. This hands-on role delivers varied projects and involves client liaison, architects, contractors and other consultants.

We are seeking degree-qualified engineers with strong UK consultancy experience, proficient in Eurocodes/UK standards, with experience in steelwork, foundations and refurbishments.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with strong UK consultancy experience.
• Chartered status desirable or working towards (IStructE/ICE).
• Experience with steelwork, refurbishments, foundations and existing structures.

Responsibilities

• Structural design from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Produce detailed overmarks; Revit & CAD drawings; modify existing drawings.
• Undertake calculations and design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Develop foundation and substructure solutions; coordinate with architects and MEP engineers.
• Attend meetings, site visits and inspections; resolve technical queries.
• Manage projects, programmes and client relationships; mentor engineers at senior levels.
