Job summary

Brandon James is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer in the Nottingham area to lead design and delivery on a range of residential and commercial projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors and clients from concept through to construction, delivering robust structural solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE) or significant progress towards chartership.
• Strong practical experience designing steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry building structures.
• Proven experience in structural analysis, calculations and foundation design.
• Background delivering residential and commercial building projects.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• Excellent communication, technical problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering designs across a range of building projects from concept to completion.
• Undertake structural analysis, calculations and detailed design across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures.
• Design foundations and substructures for residential and commercial developments.
• Manage projects through design, technical delivery and construction stages.
• Produce and review structural calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Attend site visits, design meetings and provide technical support during construction.
• Liaise with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.
