Job summary

Brandon James is seeking an Associate / Senior Structural Engineer in Leicester. You will deliver structural projects from concept to construction, working with clients, architects and design teams to ensure technical and commercial success.

The role includes mentoring junior staff, contributing to fee proposals, and supporting business development within a flexible/hybrid Leicester office. Chartered status and UK building-structures experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered status with IStructE or ICE (or progress towards chartership).
• Strong UK consultancy experience within building structures.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects through all design stages.
• Produce and review calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Design in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Attend client and design team meetings and coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
