Job summary

Connells Group UK is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the Group Technology Team in Milton Keynes. The role focuses on reliability, observability, and scalability of ConnellsX, the internal developer platform built on Microsoft Azure.

You will establish SRE practices, create dashboards, define SLIs/SLOs, and automate toil, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring one day per week in Milton Keynes. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability on Azure.
• Experience implementing OpenTelemetry in Kubernetes environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience configuring GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to define SLIs/SLOs and manage error budgets.
• Incident response and post-incident review experience.

Responsibilities

• Support teams using ConnellsX and respond to incidents in a structured, blameless way.
• Investigate root causes and drive post-incident actions to completion.
• Define SLIs, contribute to SLOs, and monitor error budgets.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to improve visibility.
