Job summary

McNally Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a major UK client. The role is primarily remote with one day per week in the London office, offering home-based work with office hub time.

You will improve availability, performance, monitoring, incident response and capacity planning, while collaborating with engineers to deliver safe, scalable changes and meet SLIs. Strong Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes and observability skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on SRE experience with senior responsibilities.
• Cloud-native microservices experience including containerisation and Kubernetes.
• Strong skills in Terraform, IaC, Azure, and modernization tools.
• Expertise in full-stack observability with Grafana, Log Analytics, and AppInsights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with feature teams to meet and improve service level objectives.
• Define error budgets and balance risk with reliability.
• Improve release processes and automation to scale reliability and velocity.
• Lead incident response, health monitoring, and capacity planning for production systems.
• Mentor colleagues and guide the team on reliability best practices.
