Job summary

Caravan Southbank in London is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen as we open a new two-floor restaurant. You’ll work with the Head Chef to set standards for health, safety and hospitality, and to coach and develop the team from day one.

The role offers a clear path to leadership, with a focus on fresh ingredients and guest experience, plus a generous earnings package as we grow the team.

Qualifications

• Senior kitchen leadership experience (Senior Sous Chef or equivalent).
• Ability to lead health & safety standards and maintain kitchen operations.
• Experience coaching, training and developing kitchen staff, including onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Set health & safety standards and deliver excellence across the kitchen.
• Ensure every dish is prepared consistently, to specification and with pride.
• Lead by example to foster hospitality that makes guests want to return.
• Coach, train and develop the kitchen team and onboard new members effectively.
• Manage stock, costs and cleanliness, ensuring basics of a great kitchen are met.
• Collaborate with the wider restaurant team to deliver the best guest experience.
