Job summary

The Broughton in Balterley, near Crewe, is a stylish, eclectic restaurant serving breakfasts, long lunches, dinners and Sunday roasts with a terrace for sunny days.

As Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef, lead shifts, cook to spec and help the brigade grow their skills, with a clear path to Senior Sous and Head Chef and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous, Junior Sous or strong Chef de Partie.
• Calm under pressure with a great team attitude.
• Love of good food and high standards.
• Ambition to keep progressing.

Here's what we offer:

• Up to £14.50 per hour (Approx. £1,860 every 4-weeks or £24,130 pa)
• Bonus of up to £1,500 a year - based on KPIs that are achievable and impactful
• Shared Service charge (Avg. £5,820 pa)
• Total Potential Package = £31,450 per year
• Part time - 32 hours a week: solid, regular hours with a better work-life balance
• A clear path to Senior Sous and Head Chef

The role

You'll support your Head Chef in running a busy, well-organised kitchen - leading shifts, keeping standards high and helping the brigade grow their skills.
