Job summary

Databricks in London is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Emerging Enterprise Digital Native team. You will win new logos across the UK & Ireland by proving hands-on that the Data Intelligence Platform solves their hardest problems.

You will run PoCs, meet technical buyers across data engineering, ML, and Generative AI, and integrate with their cloud and open‑source stack. This role reports to the Manager, Field Engineering, and requires commuting to London with ~20-30% travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on pre-sales, consultancy, or engineering experience with data-native or high-growth technology companies.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala or Java, and Spark knowledge.
• Experience with modern data stacks and open-source data tooling, and with at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on expertise in designing and delivering proofs-of-concept (PoCs).

Responsibilities

• Run hands-on evaluations and PoCs to demonstrate the Data Intelligence Platform against real data and workloads.
• Engage technical buyers across data engineering, machine learning, and Generative AI, integrating with cloud/open-source stacks.
• Collaborate with account teams and contribute to technical collateral and customer workshops.
