Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the UK&I Emerging Enterprise team to win new digital-native logos by validating the platform with real data and workloads.

You will run hands-on evaluations, engage CTOs and lead engineers, and articulate the technical and business value across data engineering, ML, and Generative AI. London-based with travel across UK&I. Join a collaborative team that values innovation and practical demonstrations over slideware.

Qualifications

• Hands-on pre-sales or consulting experience in data-native or high-growth tech companies.
• Proficiency in Python/SQL/Scala/Java; knowledge of Spark desirable.
• Experience with modern data stack and at least one public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience designing and delivering PoCs.

Responsibilities

• Win new UK&I logos by proving the platform against real data and workloads.
• Run hands-on PoCs that excite founders, CTOs, and lead engineers.
• Engage technical buyers across data engineering, ML, and Gen AI; integrate with existing cloud/open-source stacks.
• Move quickly to qualify value and land deals that set up expansion.
• Demonstrate our value against competitors and craft strong technical/commercial cases.
• Develop customer-facing collateral and participate in workshops and meet-ups.
• Develop technically and in pre-sales toward independent Solutions Architect responsibilities.
