Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in London to independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, solution design, and platform demonstrations. You will be a builder who can code, architect, and present, driving adoption of the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

You will own frontline customer relationships, collaborate with the Account Executive on technical strategies, and develop assets to accelerate wins. Strong Python/SQL and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, pre-sales or hands-on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; able to debug, optimise, and write production-quality code.
• Experience designing data solutions on at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Knowledge of distributed data systems (Spark, Delta Lake, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink).
• Experience leading technical customer conversations (discovery, architecture reviews).
• Strong presentation and demo skills for live solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads.
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos on the Databricks platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account-level technical strategies with the Account Executive to grow platform usage.
• Articulate Databricks differentiation through hands-on demonstrations.
• Contribute reusable technical assets (notebooks, accelerators, reference architectures).
