Job summary

Databricks in London, UK seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and acting as a trusted advisor to customer technical leads and architects.

You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to position Databricks as the foundation of customers’ data and AI strategy, developing a technical specialization and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: design of scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native platforms.
• Proficient with Databricks Platform and developing a technical specialization in one domain (e.g., real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance).

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment and growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineers, and Directors.
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios by showcasing Databricks differentiation.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization as a go-to resource for the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs.
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements and gaps.
