Job summary

Equans is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for its Energy Solutions unit in Bow, London. You will own lead generation and pipeline prioritisation for Solar & Storage, sign EPC contracts and manage cross-functional bid teams up to £50m+ projects.

You will line-manage a BD Manager, develop marketing collateral, and collaborate with internal and external partners to refine delivery models.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable sales experience with utility-scale PV & BESS projects.
• Track record of signing EPC projects >£50m.
• Experience establishing, developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Comfortable with line management and governing internal bid teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiating EPC contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including C-suite engagement.

Responsibilities

• Find, own and maintain customer relationships across private and public sectors.
• Engage with clients at pre-tender stage to support technical and commercial structuring.
• Capture opportunities in Salesforce and prioritise Solar & Storage pipeline.
• Lead bid process for selected opportunities as primary client interface and internal PM.
• Negotiate PCSA’s and EPC contracts.
• Manage governance processes and project structuring per golden rules.
• Own relationships until EPC contract signature and through delivery.
• Line management for a BD Manager and oversee bids.
• Develop marketing collateral and thought leadership pieces.
• Build relationships with supply chain and trade associations.
