Job summary

Equans is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for Energy Solutions, focusing on Solar & Storage. You will own lead generation, pipeline prioritisation and the end-to-end bid process for EPC opportunities, while managing internal governance and client relationships up to EPC signature.

You will line manage a Business Development Manager, develop marketing collateral, and collaborate with internal and external partners to refine delivery models in the energy transition space.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable sales experience with utility scale PV & BESS projects and EPC signings >£50m.
• Experience establishing, developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Comfortable with line management and governance processes.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating EPC contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including C-suite engagement.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary bid teams and coordinating pre-construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Solar & Storage lead generation and pipeline prioritisation.
• Lead bid processes for opportunities, coordinating technical, pricing and legal workstreams.
• Negotiate PCSA/EPC contracts and governance approvals.
• Maintain relationships with private and public sector clients up to EPC signature.
• Line manage a Business Development Manager and support bids.
• Develop marketing collateral and thought leadership content.
• Engage with supply chain, trade associations and external partners.
• Collaborate with UK&I Equans, Bouygues Group and external partners to refine delivery model.
