Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment Bristol is seeking a software Test Engineer to join our quality engineering team. You will design and implement tests for new applications, features, and regressions, and help shape test strategies across product teams.

You will automate tests within our CI systems, triage issues, create reproducible tests, and mentor peers while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in developing tests for software applications.
Experience of automating tests.
Good understanding of software testing techniques.
Good C# programming skills; understanding of C++.

Responsibilities

Develop tests for new applications, features and regressions.
Develop test strategies with application teams.
Automate tests as part of our CI systems.
Investigate issues and create reproducible test cases.
Conduct manual, exploratory testing.
Report test results clearly (including performance and coverage).
Develop tooling to help reduce test time and ease test execution.
Make suggestions and recommendations for improvements to help shape the finished product.
Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment to develop organisation-wide test strategies and infrastructure.
Mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and influencing quality engineering approaches.
