Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to help test development tools and contribute to automation within CI systems. You will work with cross-functional teams globally, triaging issues and creating reproducible tests to ensure quality across PlayStation tooling and platforms.

The role emphasizes manual and automated testing, mentoring peers, and applying strong communication to influence quality engineering approaches in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing tests for software applications.
• Experience of automating tests.
• A good understanding of software testing techniques.
• Understanding of C++.
• Experience in triaging bugs and creating reproducible tests.
• Experience with software build tools, issue tracking and source control systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools, LLMs, or agentic technologies to improve engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop tests for new applications, features and regressions.
• Develop test strategies with application teams.
• Automate tests as part of our CI systems.
• Investigate issues and create reproducible test cases.
• Conduct manual, exploratory testing.
• Report test results clearly (performance and coverage).
• Develop tooling to reduce test time and ease test execution.
• Make suggestions to improve the finished product.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to shape test strategies and infrastructure.
• Mentor peers and share best practices.
