Job summary

Capital One UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager in Nottingham to lead 3–4 engineering teams delivering customer-focused software features. You will coach engineering managers, collaborate with product and design, and steward platform capabilities across teams.

You will contribute to shaping engineering culture, drive best practices, and lead cross-team improvements in a regulated, cloud-enabled environment. This is a hybrid role with office presence in Nottingham.

Responsibilities

Lead 3–4 engineering teams to design, develop and integrate software features for credit card consumers.
Coach and nurture engineering managers to empower teams to achieve their goals.
Collaborate with product managers and designers on the overall product roadmap for key business goals.
Provide stewardship of the platform and capabilities owned by your teams.
Be part of the engineering leadership team that evolves and enhances our capability by adopting best practices.
Shape team culture, vision and how it is realized across the org.
Work with associates across the business to identify, lead and drive change that impacts beyond your team.
