Job summary

Sodexo in Peterborough is seeking a General Services Manager to lead the delivery of Soft Services at a busy 24/7 site. You will oversee catering, cleaning, security and handyperson services, ensuring GMP compliance, audit readiness and service excellence across the operation.

You will manage multiple teams, develop people, nurture strong client relationships and drive continuous improvement with a sharp focus on KPIs, cost control and customer experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven facilities management experience within a multi-service environment.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management.
• Solid GMP, compliance, auditing and health & safety knowledge.
• Commercial awareness with budget and performance management.
• Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in manufacturing or 24/7 environments desirable.
• IOSH or risk assessment qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of multiple Soft Services across the site.
• Inspire, manage and develop teams to deliver high standards.
• Build trusted relationships with the client and stakeholders.
• Drive GMP, hygiene, housekeeping and compliance across operations.
• Ensure robust health & safety processes and controls are maintained.
• Monitor service performance against KPIs, SLAs and budgets.
• Manage contractors and ensure services meet standards.
• Lead audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and customer experience.
