Job summary

Barratt Developments PLC is seeking a Site Manager to lead the construction of developments in the Anglia region. You will drive build programmes, manage costs, and ensure high-quality output while upholding health and safety standards.

In this role you will coordinate labour and trades on large sites, liaise with sales teams, and perform inspections with NHBC or local inspectors to ensure timely completion to specification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering builds to programme and budget targets.
• Excellent communication and leadership to drive delivery.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety standards and NHBC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-site compliance with company health & safety standards and NHBC/Building Regulations.
• Coordinate labour & resources on large developments to meet build programmes.
• Manage material levels to minimise stock while meeting site needs.
• Ensure plots meet high quality standards and rectify defects promptly.
• Monitor production costs and approve contractor payments as appropriate.
• Lead plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC and take corrective action.
• Conduct toolbox talks to promote best practice and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to achieve build programme.
